New CEO of Lindorff appointed

On September 1st Mr Urs Baumann will replace Olav Fjell as Lindorff Group CEO.
“I am very glad that Urs Baumann has decided to join the Lindorff team”,
Hugo Maurstad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lindorff Group AB.
“With his background from the credit card and consumer finance industry, and
business experience from working in the UK, Germany and Switzerland, I
believe Baumann is uniquely qualified to lead Lindorff’s expansion into new
European markets” says Mr. Maurstad.
Before joining Lindorff, Urs Baumann (40) has been Managing Director of Barclaycard and responsible for its consumer finance business in Central and Eastern Europe. Prior to Barclays’, Baumann was the CEO of Swisscard AECS AG, a joint venture of American Express and Credit Suisse. He led this company for more than six years, building it through a combination of smaller acquisitions and organic initiatives to become the leading credit card company in Switzerland.
Before joining Swisscard, Baumann was Engagement Manager at McKinsey & amp; Company Inc., where he was a member of the strategy & corporate finance practice and specialist in retail banking.
Mr. Urs Baumann is a Swiss citizen and holds a MBA from the University of St.Gallen, Switzerland, and a MBA from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business, Illinois, USA.
