Lindorff to take over the accounts department of Posten AB
26.08.2007
Lindorff has signed a five year contract with Posten AB, the postal services in Sweden. The contract involves taking over 140 employees and parts of Posten’s accounts’ department from November 2007.
The contract enables the Swedish Posten to increase its focus on core
business: letters, logistics and information logistics. With these new
operations, Lindorff strengthens its position as the leading Nordic company
in outsourced accounting services.
“Our demands for administrative routines are high. The contract with Lindorff will ensure that the high quality of our accounting services continues, but at reduced cost. Lindorff holds a strong position in the market, has broad experience and is represented in several countries,” says Bo Friberg, CFO in Posten AB.
All 140 employees in Posten AB have been offered a job in Lindorff, and will still continue to work from the Posten premises in Solna and Umeå in Sweden.
“We welcome our new colleagues and look forward to a long and good relationship withPosten,” says Executive Vice President of Lindorff Accounting, Morten Carlsen. Lindorff Accounting is the unit for outsourced accounting and financial services in Lindorff.
“This contract is of great strategic value to Lindorff. Only a week ago we entered a similar, though smaller, contract with the Helly-Hansen company. This shows that we are a serious partner for large businesses which have consolidated their accounting services and are now considering outsourcing as their next improvement,” Carlsen says.
