Lindorff's Board of Directors has announced today that it has accepted Urs Baumann's resignation as Group Chief Executive Officer. As of 14 October 2009, Urs Baumann is handing over his duties to Chairman Hugo Maurstad, who will act as interim CEO until a permanent solution is in place.
Following the successful completion of the first phase of Lindorff's international growth strategy, Urs Baumann has decided to leave Lindorff. As the task at hand will now shift from strategic transformation to efficient execution, Urs Baumann is seeking a new professional challenge outside of the company.
"The time with Lindorff has been one of my most exciting and rewarding experiences in my professional life. Together with a great leadership team and the enthusiastic support of our employees and owners, we have successfully established Lindorff outside the Nordics and opened a new chapter in our history book," Urs Baumann said.
Urs Baumann joined Lindorff in September 2007 as Group CEO, his primary objectives being embarking on Lindorff's international growth strategy as well as supporting the former owners in their exit process. During his time as Group CEO, the company has transformed from being a successful player in the Nordic region into becoming the leading European provider of outsourced receivables management (ORM) services. Today, the Lindorff brand is well established and highly regarded across Europe.
Hugo Maurstad, Chairman of the Board of the Lindorff Group, asserted, "On behalf of the Board and the owners, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Urs Baumann for his dedication and his excellent job in transforming Lindorff into Europe's leading provider of outsourced receivables management services."
