Business Intelligence Team Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Leader who can help shape and scale the way Lindorff consumes data. You will be building and leading the Business Intelligence team, which is responsible for tools and applications that enable decision makers to access data with high fidelity. The ideal candidate is technically minded, business savvy, and exceptionally driven.

Job purpose:

Manages a team of analysts and developers who facilitate business intelligence processes and procedures, development and implementation. Responsible for leading the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applications and processes. Identifies, researches, and resolves complex technical problems. Ensures that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision making capabilities. Leads and empowers team members in their day-to-day activities. Collaborates with an international community of business intelligence experts.

Key tasks/ responsibilities:

- Drive the overall strategy for the Business Intelligence unit
- Partner with other teams to evolve and scale the data models, tools, applications, and infrastructure to meet the business requirements
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to scope business needs and design metrics
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and continual enhancement of existing BI offerings
- Recruit, lead, and manage a world-class team of business intelligence analysts and developers
- Serve as a champion of sound decision-making at all levels of the company

Experience and skills:

- 7+ years’ experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or related area
- Proven success building and leading teams with complex business goals
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, working with business heads across multiple functions
- Proficiency in common analytical tools
- Experience building data applications and tools; data visualization and frontend experience a bonus
- Experience working with big data frameworks
- Experience working with and within virtual teams
- An openness to change, dynamic and innovative attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
